How do we work?

We have been in this field for quite some time and over these years, we developed a carefully curated seven step Design+Build process. 

  • Research - this is the pre-planning pages when we gather ideas and go over your wish list. 

  • Connect - during our meetings, we will go over all your wants and needs and determine what kind of contractor you’d like to hire. 

  • Discover - during this phase, we visit the site, assess project feasibility and make an estimated budget,

  • Design - we will create several rough drafts of design solutions, select the interior materials, handle the documentation and sign the construction agreement. 

  • Plan - we will submit all the necessary permits to Garden Hills county, schedule the project, and conduct a pre-construction meeting. 

  • Build - once all the permits are approved, we will start the project. A designated project manager will visit the site daily and keep you updated on the progress. 

  • Enjoy - move into your new/remodeled house and enjoy it.

Note: We provide a lot of services added to larger remodeling projects which are not part of separate, single services. 

Generally, all the projects we take on, need a design. We do provide services for a whole kitchen remodeling + the hardwood flooring throughout the whole first floor. However, we do not separately provide services only for the entire first floor. You may wonder why. We consider ourselves as a design-build company with members carrying every project. If we would only do a flooring project, the showroom, the designer, and other assets would not be used as needed, and the cost of such a smaller project would be higher than a single sub-contractor or tradesman providing only flooring installations. 

Will timing be a problem?

We understand your hurry to get your home remodeled in a very short period of time, which can be due to some important upcoming events, such as a preplanned big party, or the start of the school season, etc. But it takes time to arrange extensive renovation projects to get maximum results. Reasons for a project to take longer periods of time can be:

  • Permits: Each city and municipality is unique – yet it requires some time to get this cycle in progress since we must have finished drawings… at that point submit them, and anticipate any inquiries from the city. And then hang tight for the endorsement.

  • Estimates & Proposals: This process consumes a significant amount of time, including back-and-forth communications to arrange a time to speak on the phone and then meet in person at your home. Then it will be time to build the calculation, which will be followed by a meeting to discuss it. Following that is the final proposal, which you will undoubtedly need to consider carefully before signing if Legacy is the right fit for you.   • Cabinets: If you're working on a project that needs cabinetry, such as a basement bar, a refrigerator, or even a bathroom vanity, bear in mind that it can take up to 6 weeks to obtain these cabinets after placing an order (which does not include the phase before; designing the cabinet layout).
